Alcatel OneTouch releases Flash 2, announces new intention for Indian market
India is one of the markets in the world where smartphones have not yet reached a state of saturation (i.e many do not own a smartphone yet) and as such, makes it a prime target for a host of manufacturers wishing to sell their products faster and to a wider variety of customers. This has prompted Alcatel OneTouch to announce, with the launch of its latest device in India, that considerations are being made for the company to start manufacturing its devices in the Indian market.
Alcatel OneTouch wouldn’t be lonely in India when it finally decides to open up shop though. This would see Alcatel start its manufacturing in the same market that Samsung and HTC had infiltrated likewise. Motorola and Xiaomi are also in this market but in a special way – partnering up with a third part OEM to assemble its products and then sell them to the public.
Alcatel boss has hinted to wards the fact that they might also consider going the way of Xiaomi and Motorola, getting a third party OEM that would handle the assemblages.
The newest release by Alcatel is worthy of mention, and is the Flash 2 that has been solely created with much focus on its camera.
Coming with a 9, 299 rupees ($145) price tag, Alcatel Flash 2 sports a 5″ HD touchscreen, 2GB of RAM, expandable 16GB of storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor running at 1.3GHz, LTE connectivity and a non-removable Li-Ion 3000mAh battery. The smartphone boots on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
