Alleged OnePlus 2 render leaks out flaunting metal build
I can promise that the OnePlus 2 will be priced under 450 US — Pere Lau, CEO
Shortly after OnePlus’ CEO Pete Lau confirmed that the sequel to OnePlus One will bear a budget price tag, a purported image of the upcoming device has surfaced.
A Weibo user posted the image claiming it belongs to the yet-to-be-released OnePlus 2. While the authenticity of the source is still a question to answer, a look at the supposedly leaked render shows the alleged OnePlus 2 is sporting a metal build and this falls in line with previous information we have received.
The handset in the image has a dual LED flash but the dual sensor camera, reported by earlier rumors, is nowhere to be found as a single camera adorns the back cover instead.
The OnePlus 2 is also rumored to be packing a fingerprint sensor but since none is visible at the back, we assume the hardware may have been embedded in the home button on the opposite side (not shown in the pics).
On July 27, the 2 will be unveiled at a “Virtual Reality” event where users will be given free Cardboard VR boxes to stream the event live on their faces.
