What is the price of an Apple iPhone 6 in Zimbabwean dollars?
I overheard somebody on Reddit complaining about the price of Apple’s iPhone 6 this morning and that was shortly after I saw a report on Zimbabwe on the TV (think it was CNN or something — yes we also watch CNN here in Nigeria). The redditor was ranting about how Apple should have included a microSD card in iPhones instead of racking up their product prices according to the storage configuration in each model.
Holy bleep! What if iPhones were sold in Zimbabwean dollars? My crazy mind wandered.
The last time I heard of Zimbabwean dollars prior to today, folks said one “sharwama” sausage roll costs a whole $50,750,000,000,000,000 there; or as the poor people of the United States Of America people call it, $10. While I’m no mathematician and wouldn’t want to stress you guys with digits, let’s quickly see how much a brand new iPhone 6 will fetch Apple if they sold one to say, president Robert Mugabe’s pretty daughter, Bona, on her birthday.
Since a brand new and unlocked iPhone 6 is priced $700 on eBay and $50,750,000,000,000,000 (oh goodness) translates to $10 USD, let’s take the price of the iPhone 6 in ZD as x. Sincerely, I tried to this math on my phone and the poor thing said its limit is reached. The calculator gave me a reply for x, anyway. So…
What is the price of an Apple iPhone 6 in Zimbabwean dollars? Ans: $3,552,500,000,000,000,000,000.
That’s about 3.5 million quadrillion just for the product, keep the shipping fees to yourself mate, I’ll use the post office.
Well, Mr. Tim Cook, I know you are not reading this since I’m just an ordinary blogger from Nigeria and no love, Taylor Swift, but please sire, whenever you are coming to sell your iPhones to our neighbors, do come with a personal courier service, because the streets are hard:
