Archos introduces 50 Saphir to launch alongside ‘Heliums’ at IFA
Last week was when French phone manufacturing firm, Archos, released the details on two new Helium smartphones which we would not be getting to see till we attend the IFA 2016. Well, it seems that they were not planning to stop their new line-up on those two because they have recently made public a new smartphone that we would no doubt be seen at IFA and this also comes with an interesting edge to it – it is water resistant and very rugged too.
Although the new Archos 50 Saphir would have IP68 certification, the kind that we have seen on the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Note 7 which allows a smartphone stay underwater for as much as 1.5 metres deep and for about half an hour, it really isn’t all that when it comes to strength because there are a handful of devices out there which can withstand more than this one that could only withstand falls from as high as 1 metres only.
Asides this, the Marshmallow device has a 5000mAh battery that is guaranteed to up to 48 hours of usage on a single full charge and it also packs 5 inches of screen, a 2GB Ram coupled to 16GB internal storage (expandable, of course), dual SIM support and camera that come at ratings of 13MP on the back and 5MP in front.
