Asus warns of selfie dangers
Asus Zenfone Selfie, just as it name sounds, is a selfie-centric smartphone aimed towards the younger mobile demographic that love clicking away portrait shots on their front cameras. The Zenfone Selfie was announced in June and later went on sale in July. The mobile phone is also available in India where it retails with a price tag of INR 15999 ($245) on e-commerce website Flipkart.
In promoting the selfie smartphone, Asus France has outlined the dangers of selfies and warned users to desist from risking their lives during the act of taking selfies. The infographic (pictured above) was self-explanatory but how far can it go into convincing people to stop killer selfies?
The Zenfone Selfie itself is a 5.5″ phablet with 1080p resolution and 403 pixel density. The handset is powered by a 64 bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor clubbed with either a 2GB RAM/16GB ROM or 3GB RAM/32GB ROM combo depending on your region.
The handset is equipped with a full-fledged 13-megapixel front camera and dual-tone LED flash. The primary camera at the back also comes with a 13MP sensor and dual-tone LED flash. The Zenfone Selfie comes with a 3000mAh Li-Po battery and runs on Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop platform. The device is LTE-enabled and comes in White, Black, Gray, Red and Gold color flavors.
