Blackberry COO claims the BB DTEK60 is on par with iPhone 7, Google Pixels
Even before Blackberry thought that the time was ripe enough to announce this one, we have already started to see the BB DTEK60 pop up on a lot of websites in both the United States and Canada and in these places, we saw what it would be carrying before the maker themselves could get the chance to be the first ones to break the ice.
While it then seemed that the leaks have taken away everything social they could say about the device from them, the COO of Blackberry in person of Marty Beard have come out to make a claim that would surely turn heads and make us give the device a second look.
With the 5.5 inch of screen which has 4GB of RAM under the hood and uses a QUALCOMM snapdragon 820 chipset, he has claimed that their own smartphone which is priced at just $499 can go head to head with the latest releases from both Google and Apple – the Pixel and iPhone 7 line-ups respectively.
Given that the DTEK60 costs some $200 less than the price tag on the aforementioned two, it stands to reason that asides from the specs that it carries, the design of the B device has been made in such a way that it is a bit smaller and lighter than its competitors and in the end, is also way secure because of the integration of BB OS into the stock android.
While thus might cause a little bit of division, we do think that he has a point.
