BlackBerry’s first Android phone revealed in new pictures
We have seen pictures of ‘Venice,’ BlackBerry’s first ever fully Android-powered smartphone. Today, thanks to @evleaks and CrackBerry Blog respectively, more pictures and details about the upcoming BB device have seen the light of day.
First of all, @eveleaks tweeted a clean render of the yet-to-be-officially-announced handset in full glory — with the phone’s slider popping out under the screen. The information passed on from the sequel images hinted that the BlackBerry Venice will be powered by Android Lollipop (check the image at the top corner).
Finally, the source claims that Venice will make it to all four major carriers in the United States: AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Sprint.
There is no word on when the Venice will be made official. Since the phone will be outed with Lollipop, we suspect that its debut will happen before Android 6.0 Marshmallow gets unveiled by Google around October.
