Dual SIM HTC Desire 526G+ launched for Rs. 10,400
In India, HTC has taken the wraps off of a spanking new smartphone. Dubbed the HTC Desire 526G+ Dual SIM, the handset’s name is self-explanatory of having two SIM card slots. HTC says the product will be available exclusively via Snapdeal at INR 10,400 (roughly $170) for now.
For specs, the Desire 526G+Dual SIM features a 4.7-inch qHD touchscreen, 1GB of RAM and an octa-core 1.7GHz CPU (probably a MediaTek processor). Measuring 139.8 x 69.65 x 9.8 mm and weighing in at 154 grams, the smartphone is powered by a 2000mAh power pack. It also supports 3G, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi.
The phone comes with an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera equipped with LED flash and a 2MP selfie snapper at the front. While you may expand the memory using the device’s microSD card slot, there’s 8GB or 16GB (depending on the variant you buy) of built-in storage on the phone already.
HTC hasn’t announced any plans of shipping the Desire 526G+ Dual SIM smartphone outside of India but Vice President Faisal Siddiqui was full of compliments for the market, “India is globally one of the most attractive smartphone markets and smartphones are one of the fastest growing segments for Snapdeal.com.
“The users are seeking devices that are feature rich at an affordable price and HTC Desire 526G+ is a good fit for Indian market,” the VP who doubles as General Manager of HTC India spoke at the launch event.
