First-ever Tizen OS-powered smartphone, Samsung Z, announced
Samsung has finally kicked off it’s Tizen OS campaign on smartphones, at least on the scene, with the introduction of Samsung Z.
The Samsung Z (such name, much odd, wow ), will be available in Russia shortly aka by the third quarter of this year.
The specs on this phone ain’t that bad for a first trial. With a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display with 720p resolution, the Samsung Z (hard not to say Samsung Galaxy Z) features some next-gen techs like heartrate monitor, fingerprint sensor, LTE, NFC and IR blaster for your TV remote control.
The Z runs on Tizen OS version 2.2.1 as aforementioned, with it’s engine is stirred by a 2.3GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. It features 16GB of expandable device storage.
The UI of the smartphone looks identical to TouchWIZ on Samsung Galaxy devices, except it has roundish icons. But we won’t say much about what we haven’t laid our hands on, expect to see a full review of the Samsung Z on BestMobs very soon.
Samsung Z has an 8MP rear and 2.1MP front-facing camera and the battery is a 2600mAh battery.
