Gionee’s Elife E8 sports a massive 6″ Quad HD display
Chinese tech company Gionee looks all set to announce their biggest smartphone of 2015. No, literally, the Elife E series is the company’s flagship family but then the upcoming Elife E8 looks to be turning out to be the phone makers’ largest smartphone yet, touting a massive 6-inch display.
The phablet was recently approved by China’s TEENA which could only mean one thing — an official announcement is near the corner. A quick glance on the web page shows that the E8 will pack a Quad HD display (1440 x 2560 pixels), summing down to a PPI of 490 despite the gigantic screen size.
Measuring 164.0 x 82.3 x 9.6 in millimeters, the unannounced smartphone weighs at a solid 207 grams, no thanks to the 3,520mAh battery underneath its back cover. For the engine, the E8 uses an ample 3GB of RAM and a processor clocked at 2GHz (a likely Snapdragon 810 chip). The phone houses a 16-megapixel rear camera and 8MP front-facing shooter.
