Gionee’s upcoming Elife E8 flagship handled in new video
Gionee is doing a great job trying to bring an awesome smartphone into the scene, however, one thing the phone maker is failing woefully at is keeping the unannounced device under the wraps — at least until it’s official unveiled.
Inside the hands-on video of the Elife E8 which was uploaded by a Chinese source on Youtube today, it looks like the handset isn’t running on Gionee’s traditional Amigo 3.0 UI but instead a slightly diluted version of the Android Lollipop’s default interface. Things could change before the release of the handset nonetheless. The Gionee Elife E8 could be launching in the second week of this month, insiders say.
Spec-wise, the E8 is allegedly packing 6-inch 2K display Super AMOLED display, 2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6795 CPU and 3GB of RAM, with 32GB reserved for storage. The smartphone will be running on Android 5.1 Lollipop, using a 23MP rear and 8MP front camera solution.
