Google replacing faulty LG Nexus 5X smartphones
Yellow tints appearing on the screen of devices date a long way back in the history of smartphones and is not something that just recently started to occur. Recalling correctly, this was also an issue with the Apple iPhone 4 (yes, long way back) when the screen would, instead of come out in white display, have a yellow one instead. This was also an issue with later devices such as the OnePlus One and funnily, the last years’ Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 devices that were manufactured by LG.
Now again, it seems history has repeated itself and some ghosts have come back to haunt LG as some users have started to report seeing the yellow taints on their screens. While users are advised to wait for a little while (a week, give or take) to see if the hue clears up, there’s the option of contacting Google directly and getting a replacement device sent in place of the faulty one. Some users have tried this already and it worked.
Bottom line is, if your LG Nexus 5X device is sporting a yellow hue of some sort on its screen, it might be best to contact Google Customer care service and get a replacement device.
