HTC One Max unveiled with 5.9″ display and fingerprint scanner
HTC has finally pulled the curtains on the HTC One Max. The One Max as expected, sports a 5.9-inch display with 1080p resolution and a 4MP camera with the UltraPixel technology. There’s a 4.3 Jelly Bean version of Android OS running on the device with HTC Sense 5.5 UI on top.The processing job is done by a Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon 600 chipset, a quad-core Krait 300 tuned at 1.7GHz, Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB RAM.
Even though there is a 32GB alternative for the 16GB version, storage on the One Max can be expanded with MicroSD memory cards via the removable backside. Speaking of the back, the 3300mAh battery on the phone is not user-removable even though you can still remove the cover to access memory and SIM slots.
The phablet does not come with Beat Audio, unlike the original HTC One, but it comes with fingerprint scanner that let’s you lock and unlock your phone with the tip of your finger. The fingerprint sensor is situated at the back of the phone, below the camera sensor, unlike that of the iPhone 5s.
The HTC One Max is coming to European and Asian markets by weekend, with the US where the device will debut on Spring and Verizon to follow before the end of the year.
