Huawei announced “24 months software support” for new smartphones
The United States arm of the Huawei brand has made an announcement on behalf of the entire management off the company and this one is set to not only excite past users and lovers of the smartphone brand, it is also set to encourage new users towards the platform. Starting from now, they have reiterated the point of Google+ and on all of their latest devices henceforth, users can be sure to receive software updates for as long as 24 months after their purchase of the device.
This means that before the two-year period ends, users would not just be shocked to find out that their devices are no longer supported again and they would have to switch to a newer or higher variant to enjoy the best of software within their first two years of purchase.
Taylor Wimbley of the USA branch also confirmed that within the first year of purchase, the rate at which users would be getting the updates would be very rapid and they are sure to get one at least in every three months.
Given the fact that Android has been facing some security challenges of recent, he also said that they would be providing support for bugs like this faster than updates.
