Huawei phone with sliding camera identified as Honor 7i, details inside
Last week, we came across an extra ordinary-looking Huawei device that recently got approved by TEENA. By that time, we only knew the handset as Huawei ATH-AL00 and as the phone with a flipping or sliding camera.
More information about the “sliding camera” phone has arrived. Decoding a couple of teaser images the company sent out on social media via its Weibo page, the Huawei Honor 7i (the phone’s final name) could be launched on August 20.
The Chinese tech company posted a meme that translates to “You Can Change The Vision Together,” hinting at the phone’s hidden front-facing camera which is revealed by a mechanism that slides out when you want to take selfies, revealing the secondary camera sensor and dual-tone LED flash.
The TEENA listing says that the Honor 7i will pack 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage and a possible Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 or a Huawei-made Kirin chipset, however, sources claim that another version of the smartphone, sporting a bit higher pricing, is coming out with 64GB of storage and 3GB of RAM.
Details of the phone’s screen dimensions and battery capacity still remain mystery but then, stay tuned as we uncover all the details on or before the 20th of August.
