iPhone-esque HTC One A9 shows up in white
Back in June, HTC CEO Cher Wang told investors and general audience at HTC’s quarterly financial call that the Taiwanese OEM is planning a “hero product” which will fix the company’s decaying phone sector.
Industry insiders believe that HTC One A9 is the promised hero smartphone. The phone is believed to be coming sometime next month. In the meantime, rumors keep flying everywhere as purported pictures of the upcoming handset set the industry awash after it revealed the HTC One A9 was striking an iPhone-like appearance.
To confirm the earlier leak, another alleged picture of the HTC smartphone surfaced on the Internet few hours ago. This time, the product in question was wearing a white casing and yet the iPhone appearance didn’t seem to have gone away either.
Different sources hold different belief in regards to what specs the HTC One A9 will possess. The most popular version of the story has it that the smartphone will come with a 5-inch 1080p display, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera, 4MP font camera and Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset. Sometime ago, it was believed that MediaTek’s Helio X10 deca-core CPU will power the device but the version seems to have been shelved for now.
According to popular tech informant Evan Blass, the HTC One A9 will hit the shelves by November; however, a retailer in the Netherlands hinted that the device will be priced north of the flagship $700 region. We cannot say for sure if the information posted on the listing by the retailer was very accurate so for now we can only wait and look out for the phone’s official launching to see how things pan out.
