LeECo and Coolpad in the works over a joint device, the Cool1
Just last week, we discovered that there is some kind of partnership between LeECo and Coolpad to develop a top of the shelf smartphone and that leak gave us a snapshot of the back of the device, some specs to play around with but failed to give us something to call the new device by.
Today, LeECo and Coolpad have released a teaser for this upcoming device and this has done justice to our point of ignorance, giving the name of the device as Cool1, although we think LeCool would have been a smoother name.
Unconfirmed rumors have suggested that the upcoming 5.5 inch device could be available in China as from next week but then, that should just be taken with a pinch of salt.
The smartphone would have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset under the hood and a coupling of a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage space too. A 3500mAh battery would run all of these specifications and on the back would be a fingerprint sensor.
Running the Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, you get the option to choose from LeECo’s custom interface or that of Coolpad.
