Lenovo Vibe S1 revealed by TEENA, has dual front-facing camera
HTC caused a stir when the Taiwanese phone maker outed the One M8 smartphone which was sporting a two-sensor rear camera back in 2014. Now, with information we have in hand, it seems that China’s Lenovo will be releasing the first mobile phone with two front-facing cameras.
Welcome Lenovo’s Vibe S1, the smartphone that just got approved at TEENA and has two secondary cameras. Back in the days of HTC One M8, the two cameras worked as one, with the smaller sensor giving “3D” effects to photos snapped by the main sensor. However, the two front sensors on the Vibe S1 appear to be of the same size, and we can’t seem to understand how the cameras will work. Since the smartphone only got certified, give it a matter of several days or few weeks maximum to get the thing released and we’ll surely learn the motive and use of the two selfie sensors.
Talking about specs, the Lenovo Vibe S1 was listed as having a 5-inch HD touchscreen, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of likely expandable storage. The phone is backed by a 2420mAh battery and a 1.7GHz octa-core CPU was listed under the processor entry. TEENA says the phone’s front camera can deliver 5-megapixel pictures while the rear one has a 13-megapixel size.
