LG is gunning for 10 million G4 sales this year
Talking of numbers, LG Electronics has made it clear that it wants to sell at least 10 million units of its upcoming flagship, the LG G4. While the handset is being cooked, LG Mobile CEO tells us what to expect of a smartphone which he calls “radically different” from the others.
Another top ranking company official who spoke to reporters at the just-concluded Mobile World Congress dropped a huge punchline for competitors, highlighting that the LG G4 will sell nothing less than 10 million units this year.
The LG G4 is set to go official in April after the company shifted the dates in order not to collide with Samsung’s. The smartphone is tipped to arrive with a fingerprint sensor and a Snapdragon 810 chipset but talks about “producing our own mobile application chips…” and “plan to gradually incorporate into our new models” means the company might be ditching Qualcomm for an in-house CPU.
