LG links up with Apple and Google to help speed up its research on foldable screens
Before Samsung started to treat the market to some beautiful designs as regards the curved screen aesthetics that it now uses on its flagships, there have been talks that they are also in the production process of what would be foldable screens, basically built with the OLED panel. Well, they are about to have some serious company as LG is also stepping up its game to make sure that it matches its local rival in this aspect.
From a new report that is coming out of Korea, LG has brought in further big guns to help in its research and the likes of Apple and Google have now been brought on board to help this company achieve its dreams faster.
Even though this deal would do a lot of good to LG, it remains a fact that Samsung are technologies ahead of LG in this regard and should be the ones to first truly show us what this technology would look like. In the end though we might not get displays that can be actually folded but rather, those that would be curved in many ways than we have now.
