LG’s G5 Smartphone A Failure

Samsung buoyed its latest Galaxy S7, reporting an improved profits for past quarter, while on the other hand LG’s mobile division seems to sunk deeper into red flag with $168 million total loss. According to its report, the primary cause for the major dropped was LG’s increased expenses in marketing around its launch of modular G5 device.
G5 as LG’s latest flagship device, although company’s other products seems not that brilliant either. LG’s overall mobile sales for this year fell 15.5 percent, with a 13.5 million device representing 12 percent decline in all of its shipments.
LG Inc. returned $420 million on its operating profit thanks to some of its reliable appliances business. But mobile devices continues to struggle bad, even all the vast company resources, investment, and best engineering expertise for the betterment of the company. Yesterday IDC reported the company’s shifts in top five Smartphone list, and it seems that LG was nowhere to be found on the discussion.
So far, the giant company spent money just to make sure that G5 will hit in the mobile market, but the big question will be answered in the next three months and we will find it soon.
