Lumia 525 hacked to run on the Android Marshmallow 6.0
When you want to speak about humility in the line-up of Lumia smartphones, the Lumia 525 is one that you might as well consider. This is not mainly the device’s fault though because its manufacturers were responsible for the creation of a device that had the potential of being a top shelf device with unimpressive specs.
What is then surprising about this unit is that two years after its announcement by the software giant, the device has been modified in such a way that you can run a stable Android Marshmallow 6.0 on it and guess what – this device wasn’t even in the line of smartphones to get the Win10 mobile update.
A hacker has been able to get the smartphone to run the software version by using a CyanogenMod 13 build on the couple year old device and there are no lags at all, as you would see from the video attached to this effect should you wish to see it.
We should recall that this is not the first try to get the Android OS working on a Windows powered smartphone but this is surely the first time that we would see it work as smooth as this. As it has been seen working on the 525, the developer of this modification is looking to get it upon the http://bestmobs.com/nokia-lumia-520/”>Lumia 520 also but if you hold the high end Lumia 950 and expect to also get it, kill such hopes because this current Mod version can only be run on QUALCOMM snapdragon S4 chipset-powered devices.
