MediaTek launches the Helio P15 chipset, to carry octa cores
We have seen a very big transformation in the smartphone industry over years and for now, we have seen phones attain some speeds that we never thought would be possible for them.
With processors and chipsets such as the snapdragons from Qualcomm, the Exynos from the stables of Samsung, the Huawei manufactured Kirin chipsets and also, the MediaTek SoCs, we have seen our worlds transformed and speeds increased.
They are not planning to rest on their oars though and one of them being MediaTek, they have now announced the Helio P15 chipset.
Unveiled today, the Helio P15 would be making use of a total of eight cores which can reach a maximum clock speed of 2.2GHz and is an improvement over the last P10 which could only climb as high as 2.0GHz when it comes to clock speeds.
While we have no info on the kind of RAM that this one can support as of now, we do know that it would be a major improvement over the predecessor and make the idea of using mid ranges ne to savour for those with not-so-deep pockets.
To further put some cream on the story, this one would offer support for LTE, using the LTE Cat6 technology.
