Meizu Mx5 specs surfaces from benchmark website
Although you likely won’t find their smartphones on the shelves of your local phone dealer, Meizu has positioned itself among the biggest players inside China’s multi-trillion dollar mobile industry.
When the word “Meizu” comes to mind, our brains are usually mesmerized by memories of low price-high specs products that usually drag in with iPhone-esque looks. That’s the way the likes of Xiaomi and Meizu have been functioning over the years and good thing is that it’s working out for them.
Meizu’s next flagship device is reportedly in the works (it has been since quite a couple of months). We learnt about some of the features of the upcoming smartphone after a benchmark results page revealed that somebody has test-run the device on a popular benchmark website known as GFXBench.
From the information that was passed along in the document, we gathered that the Meizu MX5 (the device in question) will sport a 5.5-inch display with Full HD resolution. For the chipset, we are seeing a Mediatek MT6795T SoC processor listed with a 2.1GHz octa-core CPU and PowerVR G6200 picture box.
The device will feature an adequate 3GB of RAM while a likely expandable, yet requisite 16GB ROM is available for storage. In the camera department, a 20MP camera possibly made by electronics veteran Sony and front-facing 5MP snapper will cover all the shots. Nothing was mentioned on the battery or dimensions of the phone as these quantities aren’t covered by benchmark apps.
While benchmark reports are known to hold water — like in most cases, we suggest you digest this story with a pinch of salt and garlic as one mischievous programmer could have cooked up these numbers and easily print them into GFXBench’s website database using an emulator.
