Microsoft stops update for Lumia Highlights app, fuels Lumia ditching rumours
When in April of 2014, Nokia rolled over all of its service division and phone manufacturing facilities to Microsoft, they had to let go of the Lumia series that they were making also and over the course of the past few days, the tables have ben turning in the opposite way.
While there has been a device being made by the Finnish company being paraded on benchmarks, the Lumia light seems to be sowing dying off and Microsoft is not even ding anything to stop it.
It has been a while since we have ben hearing that they are planning to ditch the Lumia setup and whether they want to go on with another line of devices or stop altogether is not sure at this point. However, we do know that there is truth in this because with the Lumia line-up dropping from their official website’s first page and warranty units for the Lumia 950XL not available anymore, it is an inevitability in itself.
To further add fuel to this fire, official information from Microsoft has stated that the Lumia Highlights application would not be updated anymore. While we cannot categorically state that the Lumia spark is definitely going out, the compilation of factors that point in this direction is compelling in itself.
