Moto 360 specs outed on BestBuy, “coming soon” placeholder mounted
Motorola’s first smartwatch has been displayed by mobile gadgets retailer, BestBuy, who also posted specs that should be associated with the wearable, saying it’s coming soon.
The Moto 360’s ‘coming soon’ listing page was removed after a few minutes, but thanks to the ever eager eyes of the media, a lot of things were captured.
According to BestBuy, Moto 360 will have a 1.5″ LCD display with 320 x 290 resolution and a PPI of 205. The watch will be powered by a processor made by TI (Texas Instruments).
The listing says that the smartwatch will be dust and waterproof, and can survive 3.3 deep in water for 30 minutes. Furthermore, there will be a built-in pedometer and heart rate monitor, and a docking station for the watch which will probably take care of it’s charging.
You can say BestBuy is creating media hype for their merchandise, you might not have been far from the truth either if you say the page was consciously pitched on.
Whatever it is, the e-commerce site says that the smartwatch costs $250. That might require serious thinking as mst smartphones fall below the $250 price mark nowadays.
So, can you buy a $250-priced Motorola Moto 360 smartwatch when it eventually breaks cover two weeks from now?
