Motorola proposes launch of the Moto Z and Moto Z Force in October for US markets
Up till now, and for a little while more, the Moto Z and Moto Z Force have been available on only Verizon and no other network in the United States. However, upon launch, we were told that at a certain point in time, we would be getting ourselves the unlocked versions of these smartphones but with no definite date in mind.
That has changed now because we now have a timeframe to look at when we are expecting the unlocked models stateside.
New information has now suggested that both smartphones would be seeing the launch of their unlocked versions in the United States starting from the month of October. If you would like to preorder one for yourself likewise, the 15th of September is the date to look forward to.
The unlocked smartphones would be sold straight from the stables of Motorola and as regards pricing, we know that the Moto Z would carry a tag of $699.99. Another interesting piece of information here is that the unlocked versions would work on neither the Verizon nor Sprint network.
The other Moto Z Play would sell for $449.99 instead but for both situations, Motorola is setting their own price higher than even what Verizon is asking for, with their catalogue stating $624 on the former and $408 on the latter.
