New Oxygen update for the OnePlus X takes the device to Marshmallow 6.0.1
A new update has started to roll out to the OnePlus X and while this one brings another version of the Oxygen OS to the smartphone, it also brings a bigger improvement to the parent Android software running on the piece of hardware.
For those that choose to embrace this update, you would be surprised to know that it also takes your device from the current stage of Android Lollipop it is on and steps it an inch further on the direction of the Nougat by giving it a Marshmallow 6.0.1 push.
Although the company has already provided the support to the big 6 about a month ago, recall that that one was just a community build and this is the first stable version that would be rolling out to all users. To get this update, you would have to be running on the prior OS versions Oxygen OS 2.2.3, 3.1.0, 3.1.1 and 3.1.2. To then get this on your smartphone, head over to your settings dashboard and manually check for updates from where you would get your Oxygen OS update to 3.1.3.
Coming with the Android push is also a series of changes and packs such as new icon packs, new and improved app permissions, OnePlus gallery, OnePlus music player and all the other goodies that accompanies the Android 6.
