New smartphone explosion recorded on the iPhone 6 Plus
While Samsung are still counting their losses from the issue of the Galaxy Note 7 explosions that neccessited a global recall of the smartphone which has been largely successful due to their own postings and what we are seeing, Apple might be looking to just get into this same kind of hot bathtub that Samsung has just exited.
A student who was studying at the Burlington College in New Jersey has claimed that his iPhone 6 Plus smartphone exploded whilst nested in his back pocket. So great was this mini explosion that it ripped his denim wear and left the device for the worst.
Unlike the Note 7 units, this one wasn’t even charging when the occurrence took place and in the case of the victim, he claimed that the device started to emit smoke from his back pocket moments after he sat down in class. According to Hlavaty, he had to drop the device on the floor upon removing it from his pocket due to the hotness and even had to kick it away from himself.
According to a news report, Apple is no giving any comments on this but they would be investigating the issue.
