New software update provided for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 already
While some manufacturers are facing challenges when it comes to providing support and software updates for their existing devices, Samsung is not one of those people with the South Korean OEM even planning to get a new software update across to users of the new Galaxy Note 7 which a lot of people are yet to unbox. How wonderful is that?
For the units of this phablet that was purchased as unlocked inn Canada, the update has already been sent out to them and the first time they turn on their smartphone, they would be greeted by this software bump. In the United States, Verizon has also confirmed that they would be releasing the new version of these units starting from today, which represents the official release date for the Note 7 in the states.
For the Canadian model, the update weighs at 96MB and this should tell you that this is not one of those big updates. We know that it includes some security patches and that it should include fixes for some bugs too but these we don’t know about yet. For devices that would be getting this update, know that your build number would now end with APH1.
If you find yourself owning one of these units and you can’t get notification of update on your screen, just go to your device settings and manually request for it.
