New Sony handset on GFXBENCH, dubbed Pikachu, to carry 21MP camera.
Sony never stops having devices in the works, and we are not surprised that we have another unit from this Asian giant pop up on the stables of another benchmark. Carrying a lot of massive specs, this new handset would either be a top of the line mid range unit or, if we’re lucky, a high end unit.
As far as names go, the new appearance on GFXBench was just dubbed Sony Pikachu and it pairs a MediaTek P20 chipset with an octa core processor which can reach a maximum clock speed of 2.3GHz, all under the rather small 5 inch screen. We have been given the RAM as 3GB, and would have been shocked if the internal storage space was anything short of 32GB.
In terms of camera, there is pairing of a massive 21MP sensor on the back to a front shooter of 8MP. Expected to run the Nougat out of the box, this might just be the G3112 that has been leaking since last year.
