Opp R7 unfolds in these leaked crispy pictures
When we first heard about the Oppo R7 and ZTE Nubia Z9, we thought these were going to be next Samsung Galaxy S6 edge from China. Well, the Nubia Z9 was unveiled yesterday and it was — kind of, but pictures of the Oppo R7 we’ve seen lately don’t suggest the Oppo smartphone is entirely off of side bezels. Nonetheless, the device is still enjoying massive media interest despite still being under covers.
We laid out hands on purported new pictures of the unreleased Oppo device today and true, the smartphone seems to have/has 2.5D glass but the side bezels are clearly still there unlike the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge and it’s aforementioned ZTE-made wanna-be.
The R7 still manages to finish off as a beautiful phone though. All four sides covered in metal and two sets of speaker grills are positioned under the phone. The phone’s back seems to be covered in glass and it appears there’s no camera hump, something prevalent in many recent top flagships.
Oppo used a dual-tone LED flash to support the main camera at the back of the smartphone which rumors claim is a 20-megapixel snapper. The engine is reportedly powered by an octa-core MediaTek chipset while the 4.7″ 1080 display and all other components of the handset will have to conservatively tap current from a rather small 2000mAh battery, no thanks to the R7’s 4.85mm-slim body.
