Oppo launch the A33 smartphone in China
Smartphone producers Oppo has lifted the curtains off their new smartphone, the A33 smartphone in China. The smartphone has been made available on the company’s store at a price of CNY 1,499 (roughly Rs. 15,500).
Official word has not been put out by the company as regards availability of the smartphone in other regions asides the China launch but it can be expected to happen in no distant time. The smartphone features a 5-inch TFT screen with a resolution of 540×960 pixels and a pixel density of 220ppi. The Android 5.1 Lollipop based smartphone with a layer of the company’s Custom ColorOS 2.1 skin on top is powered by a Quad-core Snapdragon 410 chipset clocked at a speed of 1.2GHz clubbed with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone supports Dual-SIM function and an 8MP rear facing camera with a 5MP camera on the front panel. It boasts of an on-board storage size of 16GB which can be further expanded using microSD card to 128GB and on the connectivity front it supports 4G LTE, 3G (HSPA+), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB 2.0 and GPS / A-GPS connectivity options.
The 142.7×71.7×7.5mm Oppo A33 bears sensors such as the accelerometer, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor and is caked by a 2,400mAh battery which can last up to 250 hours on standby and about 8 hours of talk time.
