Reports suggest launch of two Google-branded smartphones in India
India is a very big market for anything given the population of the country and in this extensive list of “anythings”, mobile phones are also not left out of the mix. On this end, we published a news item sometimes ago which disclosed that of all the phones in this Indian market, 97% of them are running on the android OS and this alone is a major booster which the Google has now acted upon.
Due to the great love that the people of this country have for phones running on the OS created by the mobile giant, there are new reports in India to suggest that there are two new and cool devices that are soon to be launched there and while all of these bear semblance to the Nexus Sailfish and Marlin that we expect to soon see, we have another piece of information to suggest that these ones would carry the Google naming instead.
There is not much information to go by for now but we know that one of these devices would have 5 inch of screen, use 32GB of internal storage while the other one would be bigger on everything with 5.5. inch display and 128GB of RAM.
This might be a way for Google to take on iPhones in a competition where they would produce premium and cheap devices to rival the Apple smartphones. Only time would tell.
