Rumor: The iPhone 7 to have 2 variants, not 3
Some pictures surfaced online not so long ago of what was supposed to be the leak of the three variants of the iPhone that Apple would be producing this year – the iPhone 7, the iPhone 7 plus and the iPhone 7 pro – and all these seemed to make sense till Evan Blass, a much resected tipster when it comes to the iPhone, made the shocking revelation that we should be expecting a maximum of two iPhones this year.
No more, no less. With this advanced tip also comes a closer look at what is supposed to be a leak and on observation, it can be seen that it has “fake” written all over it.
We have been expecting an earlier version of the new iPhone as the standalone iPhone 7 which should come as a 2016 flagship standard of 5.5 inches or even more then go on to make a pro version that would have a dual camera built for optical zoom, good sound mixing technology and a connector port for lovers of the physical keyboard but now, wee have to lay all such thoughts to dust.
On the back of the leaked pictures some days ago was the usual ‘s’ branding of the iPhone but with reports that that kind of branding would be dropped, this constituted a first major red flag as to their genuineness. Also, the screens of the device were shown and it showed great irregularities as compared to how Apple distributes its screen technology among various versions of the same device.
For now, we might just have to go with the tipster’s version and wait for apple’s final verdict.
