Samsung begins to push out September security patch to the Galaxy S6 Edge
Earlier this month, we saw a September security update go to the Samsung Galaxy S6 and here, AT&T surprised us really by being one of the first carries to provide users with the update. Now again, Samsung is rolling out another of such updates to the users of the edge variants of the Galaxy S6 u the European region and according to the official changelog, it would be coming with 66 patches which are all courtesy of Google.
Asides from all of these, Samsung has also added 9 of their own due to some vulnerabilities that the have found themselves which means that your device should be better and safer than it used to be after taking this firmware in.
There was an announcement from Samsung that they would be getting the update to these smartphones on the first week of September but they couldn’t keep true to that timeline. However, it is so sure that you would be getting regular security updates and on time to if you have migrated to this new one being rolled out, according to official information.
For the European patch, it would be weighing 140MB and as per OTA updates, it could take a while before the notification pops up on your own smartphone.
