Samsung’s slimmest phone, the Galaxy A8, costs $563 at home
If you are looking to buy the Samsung Galaxy A8, you should keep in mind that we are talking of a high end device here, and Samsung won’t collect peanuts for the company’s slimmest smartphone ever.
Reportedly, the handset will go on sale in Samsung’s home country this week (on July 24 precisely) and a unit will cost a total of 649,000 South Korean won, the equivalent of $563. The report didn’t state which models were to be offered at the described prices but a 16GB model in China is priced $515 while the 32GB goes for $564.
Spec-wise, the Samsung Galaxy A8 is in the phablet league, proudly carrying a 5.7-inch display with Full HD resolution and a 16-megapixel rear camera to complement the large screen. The Lollipop handset is powered by an octa-core Exynos chipset alongside 2GB of RAM and backed by a 3050mAh battery.
