Samsung Galaxy J1 launches in PH for $123
Samsung Galaxy J1 is one of the few midrangers from the Korean company that has popped up in a while. Samsung took wraps off the smartphone in January and now the product is available in the Philippines for PHP 5,490, or about US $123, using the current exchange rates.
The Samsung Galaxy J1 features a 4.3″ 480p TFT touchscreen display panel, 1GB of RAM, 4GB ROM, microSD card slot, a dual SIM slot and a user-removable 1850mAh battery. The handset runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and is powered by a dual-core Spreadtrum chipset.
Earlier this month, the Galaxy J1 was launched in Europe (Netherlands and Germany at €120 and €135 receptively) while a special, LTE-enabled version of the same handset (Samsung Galaxy J1 4G) was released in India.
