Samsung Galaxy J1 officially announced
After a couple of leaks earlier this year, Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy J1 smartphone. A midranger with a dual-core CPU. Interestingly, the device was reported to be coming with a 64-bit quad-core processor by Marvell unlike what we are seeing now.
The Samsung Galaxy J1, spec-wise, features a 3G-capable dual SIM slot. The handset sports a 4.3-inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) display and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS with a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU paired with 0.5GB of RAM and 4GB of storage found under the hood.
The Galaxy J1 is powered by a 1850mAh battery. It has a 5-megapixel camera at the back and a 2-megapixel snapper at the front. The device measures 129 x 68.2 x 8.9 mm while tipping the scale at 122 grams.
Samsung is yet to release pricing plans for the new J1 smartphone but the product is expected to launch in Russia and maybe a couple of similar markets by the end of next month.
