Samsung loose $36 million in massive robbery
In an incident that looks like a scene from a Hollywood action movie, a Samsung factory in Sao Paulo, Brazil, was looted and robbed of products worth millions of dollars.
A band of 20 robbers allegedly stormed the Samsung factory in a not-so-commando style, quietly surrendering several workers and holding them hostage while they carted away with thousands of products.
While the crime was going on, other segments of the Samsung factory, completely unawares, continued their night shift peacefully without noticing the intent of the criminals who loaded 7 trucks with laptops, phones, tablets — as they disguised themselves as workers — before making away with the loot successfully.
A Samsung spokesperson put the loses at $36 million.
“We are very concerned about this incident. Fortunately, nobody was hurt. We are fully cooperating with the ongoing police investigation, and we will do our best to avoid it happening again,”the spokesman said.
Even though the loss is huge, Samsung probably wouldn’t loose a dime in this robbery personally if their insurance papers are up to date.
