Sony Xperia Compact and Xperia XR/XZ could launch on 26th September
A good tipster with some track record when it comes to Androids, @Ricciolo1, has sent out a tweet to suggest strongly when it is that we should be looking to get a good view of the upcoming Sony smartphones – the Sony Xperia X Compact and Xperia XR, which has been listed as the Xperia XZ on the company’s official website.
From the tweet, it was stated that the company plans to release some style covers on the 26th of September and that this release is not alone, meaning that we could well see the devices launch alongside.
So far, we know that the Xperia XR and Xperia X Compact are both projects aimed at keeping the flagship experience alive, with the latter doing so in a small body of 4.6 inches. For all that we know, it is somehow sure that the Compact would have a QUALCOMM snapdragon 820 chipset under the hood and carry a 23MP unit on the back while there would be a 13MP snapper on the front. Its 2700mAh battery makes it a great device and it follows behind the Xperia XZ that would have 5.2 inches of screen on its own and carry a Type C USB port too.
For now, the 26th looks like a faraway date but taking one day at a time, we are near to the unveiling than we could have ever been.
