Sony Xperia Z4 Compact hits the scene
Yesterday, we got information that a strange Sony E5663 appeared on a benchmark website, complete with footprints of its specs in tow.
Keep in mind that last year’s Xperia Z3 Compact came in modelled Sony D5803 and D5833, and given the similarity of specs listed for the newly-surfaced E5663 and the Z3 Compact, it seems we have our first impressions of the Sony Xperia Z4 Compact here.
According to the benchmarks page, the Sony E5663 / Xperia Z4 Compact comes with a 4.6-inch 1080p display. Sony’s new-formed alliance with Taiwanese chip slinger MediaTek now means that a 64-bit MT6795 SoC will power the new Compact Z4 instead of a Snapdragon 801 found on its predecessor.
The upcoming Android 5.1 Lollipop phone will feature an upgraded 21-megapixel camera as well as a secondary 13-megapixel camera up front. For memory, the device goes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. No details were given on the battery or release date.
