T-Mobile launches $50 LTE-enabled ‘Coolpad Rogue’ smartphone
T-Mobile on Tuesday lifted the veils off a ‘Rogue’ smartphone produced in collaboration of Chinese OEM Coolpad. Coolpad Rogue won’t hurt your pocket but the $50-priced unlocked smartphone will certainly be of great communication company considering it packs support for LTE connectivity as well as a micro SIM slot, Wi-Fi-, Bluetooth and A-GPS.
Digging down the specs sheet, the Rogue promises to steal the show with a 4-inch TFT WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) touchscreen. The smartphone boots smoothly on the all popular Android 5.1 Lollipop platform, thanks to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset, 1GB of RAM and 1.1GHz quad-core CPU. The handset also packs 4GB of expandable storage.
If you don’t have cravings for entry-level smartphones like the Rogue, you can wait till Friday to get a unit of Apple’s all new iPhone 6s handset or its phablet-sized sibling, the iPhone 6s Plus, from T-Mobile. Unlocked units of the two iOS flagships respectively start at $650 and $700 for their 16GB storage options.
For those who prefer Android OS, T-Mobile is also offering the 32GB model of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 5 for $700. The US carrier will also sell you a unit of the curved Samsung Galaxy S6 edge plus for $780.
