Upcoming Blackberry smartphone pops up on GeekBench, codenamed BB Mercury
In the month of June, we got a very detailed leak that told us then that from that time onwards till the first quarter if the year 2017, we would be seeing three new devices from Blackberry on the market. From the time that this lea this aired, we have already seen the BB DTEK50 which runs on the Android platform and although it hasn’t been made official yet, the DTEK60 is also a truth in the hearts and eyes of us all now.
That leaves us with only one device left that would make u this trio and even though we still have a lot of time till the end of the first quarter of next year, it seems that we know what device would finish this formation.
Codenamed Mercury, we have seen an unknown BB device show up on the database of GeekBench and we are thinking that this is the last one that we have been waiting for.
Carrying a model number of BBB100-1, this is making a lot of sense because no news has suggested that they have another one in the works, so this would be the only of such. From the benchmark test, we haven’t seen a lot of things but we do know that it would be able to reach a maximum clock speed of 2GHz on an octa core processor from QUALCOMM and also, carry 3GB of RAM while running on the Nougat platform.
With 4.5 inches of screen and a physical keyboard, there is a decent 18MP camera unit and battery pack of 3400mAh too.
