Vivo X5 Max with 4.75 mm thickness goes official
After much media hype, Vivo’s ultra-slim smartphone has finally broken cover. With a thickness of 4.75 mm, the Vivo X5 Max didn’t fall short of any mark expected, the device measures 153.9 by 78 mm and tips the scale at 140 grams.
For visuals, the smartphone sports a 5.5-inch IPS panel with 1080p resolution which sums up to a 401 ppi pixel density. The X5 Max makes use of Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system tanned with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 2.0 user interface.
Under the phone’s skinny hood, you’ll find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 paired with an octa-core 64-bit CPU (quad-core 1.7 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53) and Adreno 405 graphics. The smartphone makes use of a 2GB RAM as well as 16GB of in-built storage which can be further expanded when you sacrifice the second nano SIM slot for a microSD card port (nice technology there).
The Vivo X5 Max has a 13MP backside camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The major downside on smartphone is the battery. With a non-removable Li-Ion 2000mAh battery, it will be a miracle if the phone’s battery life stays on an average.
Vivo is going to sell it’s newest device in China and India at least. The X5 Max will begin retailing on 22nd of December for $485 (CNY 2,998) while we are yet to know the Indian price of the smartphone.
