“A watch is a watch!” Huawei Watch yells
Huawei Technologies has jut taken the veils off its latest smartwatch, the Huawei Watch. Taking a clue from Apple Watch’s naming, the new smartwatch is round-faced, runs Android Wear OS and uses a traditional crown for control because a “watch is a watch” as Huawei revealed. And oh, before you say anything, get that this thing was customized to 40 different designs (beat that Apple Watch).
The Watch features a round 1.4-inch OLED touchscreen with an ample 400 x 400 pixels resolution. There’s a 42mm body which holds a heart rate monitor,six-axis motion sensor, a barometer and other functions(measurement for calories burned, climbing height, step count, distance traveled). The device is powered by a Snapdragon 400 chipset, 512MB RAM and features Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity.
Huawei says the Watch was built with over 130 different components and 260 manufacturing processes. All that does not matter to the average user though. We are more interested in knowing the price of this thing which the company hasn’t said, rather, it promised the device will be made avaialable in more than 20 countries including: The United States, United Kingdom, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Norway, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates.
