‘Wena Wrist’ smartwatch uses analogue watch face, supports notifications but you can’t buy it (yet)
Smartwatches do come with digital touchscreen displays but Sony’s Wena Wrist begs to differ. Offering an analogue time (just like normal wristwatches), this unfamiliar type of smartwatch has a LED indicator and in-built vibrator module to notify you of SMSes and alerts when connected with your smartphone.
But hey, don’t get your hopes high on this thing as Sony isn’t taking the development of the device too serious. The Japanese electronics company is running a crowdfunding campaign in a bid to get the project running. Even at that, Sony says the Wena smartwatch/watch will be a Japan-only affair, starting at $287, and going up as high as $576 for some variants in the Japanese market.
