Yu Yuphoria arrives with 5″ HD screen, Snap 410 CPU, 2GB RAM for $110
In India, Micromax took the wraps off a brand new LTE smartphone from their Xiaomi wanna-be lineup, Yu. Following the Chinese company’s example, the Yu Yuphoria is stuffed with high-end specs even at it’s inexpensive pricing.
In terms of design, the smartphone is stamped inside a meta frame, coming in Champagne gold and Buffed steel (black) flavors. The handset measures 142.4 x 73 x 9.35 mm and tips the scale at 104 grams.
Coming down to specs, there’s a 5-inch IPS HD display covered in Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The photography is done by an 8MP rear and 5MP front camera combination. Under the hood, you’ll find a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC. The smartphone runs on Cyanogen 12-customized Android 5.0.1 Lollipop and has 2GB of RAM and expandable 16GB of built-in memory.
Thanks to it’s modern processor, Yu Yuphoria comes equipped with LTE. The other connectivity features found on the device is a microUSB v2.0 port, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and A-GPS. A 2230mAh battery which can attain 50% in 45 minutes (Quick Charging 1.0) taps electric current into the device.
Pricing and availability
The Yuphoria is priced in such a way that is irresistible though you have to slug it out with other buyers during the first flash sale on May 28 before you can call one your own. The sale will be hosted on Amazon India with the product costing just INR 7,000 (roughly $110).
