The Alcatel A5 LED lights up Alcatel’s presentation at MWC 2017
Straight from MWC.
The Alcatel A5 LED is the first in the series of new units that we got at MWC for this year from Alcatel and of the bunch, this is the most premium offering. The LED casing on the back has been made in such a way that it can light up, so gone are the days when the lights are only on the front of the unit. Looking at the specs on this unit, we find a 5.2 inch unit which carries a MediaTek MT6753 chipset on octa cores with a clock speed of 1.5GHz.
On board is also a meager 2GB RAM which has been coupled to 16GB internal storage space that can be expanded as the user sees fit.
The Alcatel A5 runs on the Android Marshmallow 6.0 and has support for Cat.4 LTE, as we as all the basic connectivity options. While a 2800mAh battery is supposed to keep the lights on, that brings us to the light on the back f the unit. The back has a snap on cover which can be configured to display notification with different kinds of lights and patterns. Music apps and such related stock apps can also be linked up to this LED function.
This is certainly an innovation. Let’s hope that is enough to sell some decent units of this handset in the end.
