Alcatel also planning a 5-phone launch at MWC, one to be modular
We have heard from a leak that Sony is lining up an interesting 5 devices for launch at MWC, but it seems that they would not be alone in that category. With the show scheduled to start in the later days of February, we now have information that Alcatel is also planning a 5-phone launch. This is in addition to the fact that the OEM would even be present at all.
There are sparse details about each and every one of those units for now but one thing is sure – one of them would be modular. This being modular doesn’t just mean that it would have ‘floating’ parts but would allow you achieve different function by just changing the back casing.
While there is no info on what you would be able to achieve with the replaced backs, the teasers do show us some back covers that are covered with a series of tiny LED devices, and we await what those would do.
As you can also see, we are bound to get a dual LED flash for the back camera which has a 13MP sensor and in fact, this could just be the Idol 5 we are looking at.
